It is with heavy heart and heavier giblets that I write this message. Due to ever increasing COVID restrictions we are cancelling/postponing the Plunge this year.
Although we will not be able to gather together on the 28th for our annual dip we encourage you to stay the course and help us raise donations to support the Adaptive Program. We would like you to get creative and craft your own Virtual Plunge. It can be a solo effort or with your family or trusted COVID safe circle of friends.
Take a photo or make a video of your Plunge and post it on our facebook page. In your facebook app go to our page Waterville Valley Adaptive Turkey Plunge. Click on "Posts". You can then write something on the page and share the photo or video.
We'll all be able to enjoy each others creativity and capture some of the camaraderie of the Plunge. We have a panel of discerning judges standing by and at the end of December we will announce the winners of the best submissions. Valuable prizes will be awarded.
But that's not all the good news! We are in the planning stages for a post COVID restrictions Plunge!!! As of now we are targeting Saturday April 3rd as the big day. No Cold Turkeys but some Spring Chickens will get April Foolish and take a dip in Corcoran Pond. Save the date!
If you have raised donations we want to be sure to get your Plunge Shirts out to you so please email me your mailing address and shirt size at larry@masspro.biz. Over the next few weeks I will send them out to each of you.
